Chapter 16 - The Engineer

Scene: Rowan leads them out of the room, across the courtyard to meet with Gil, one of the engineers. As they walk into the room they see Gess standing next to him as he explains how the portal works.

  • Aiko: Rey, did Gess stay with you last night, she wasn’t in her room this morning?

  • Rey: No, Sai took her back after dinner.

  • Gill: See here, this is the bottom entrance.

  • Rowan: Knock, knock.

  • Aiko: Oh there you are. What have you been up to?

  • Gil: She’s a bright one, this pixie. She’s wanted to know all about the portal, the energy sphere and how it powers the city

  • Rey: Oh Gess, I’m so proud of you.

    Aiko: Really?! Gess?

  • Gil: Welp, we’re on our way over there now to inspect the lower section before you descend. I’ll meet up with the two of you over at the Sphere room. Yep, we’re all very excited to finally see the Energy Sphere now that it’s up. That poor defender, what’s her name? Lexa, Lexy, got the full blast of sound when it rose. Hope she pulls through.
