“Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than those you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from safe harbor. Catch the wind in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain

Dream it.
A dream is just an idea, a plan, until we make it real. Taking sailing classes in the San Francisco bay, and completing the certifications for each level, for me was the beginning of making my dream of living on a boat a reality. This was the building of my knowledge and confidence, of how to handle the unexpected and harvest the power of the wind.

Build it.
What is life on a boat without the boat itself? So began my search, from Portland to San Diego, to find my home on the water that had the essentials of everything I was looking for. After looking at several boats, I found the one. It wasn’t the prettiest boat in the marina, but I saw its potential to be resurrected into something special.

Grow it.
This is where the adventures begin, by throwing off the bowlines and setting sail for distant and exotic shores. Whether it’s doing a 300 mile coastal trip or a blue water voyage across an ocean, this is the moment when dreams come true, and the plans to sail to distant lands becomes a reality.
