Chapter 41 - Abandoned Ruins

Rey: So, what now, doesn’t look like a place that would hide an energy module.
-
Aiko: I guess we start searching. Maybe there’s a hidden passage somewhere.
-
-
-
Rey: What are you doing over there, Gess?
-
Gess: Maybe we all have to get on a turtle and act like we’re riding it?
-
Rey: Not helping Gess.
-
-
Scene: After pushing on walls and thoroughly looking through the ruins, Aiko and Rey question if this the correct place.
Aiko: We’ve search everywhere. There’s nothing here. What next?
-
Rey: I guess we move on and keep searching. But it’s getting late. So, let’s stay here for the night and look for another path tomorrow. Maybe something will reveal itself in the morning.
-
Scene: As they sat around the fire, they shared stories of embarrassing moments
Rey: Ok Gess, your turn. What was the most embarrassing moment in your life?
-
Gess: Ok. Actually, it only happened a couple of years ago. So, like I do every night, I was helping my Nan in the pub serving drinks. When I get done Nan always pours me a milk before bed and leaves it at the end of the bar. So like always, I cleaned up, sat down at the end of the bar and started to drink my milk. Only this time it wasn’t milk, it was ale. I know, I’ve tasted it before (she whispers). Anyways, I told Nan, this isn’t milk. “Yes it is”, she said. “Just drink it.” You don’t argue with Nan, so I drank it. The next morning everyone was smiling and laughing at me as they walked by. So I asked Nan, what happen that night. She really did feel bad, but she told me that after I finished my “milk”, I got up and started dancing on every one’s tables. Every time Nan tried to get me down, I would jump to another one and start singing. Then I threw up all over Mrs. Tummin. I was so embarrassed.

-
Gess & Rey: Ok Aiko, you’re turn.
-
Aiko: Oh no, I don’t share awkward moments.
Rey: Oh come on Aiko, if you don’t I will.
Aiko: Fine. Once when I was eight, there was this really cute boy named Clen that I liked. Only, well he didn’t know that I liked him because I was awkward that way. Anyways, he’d always pass by my aunt’s store every day, so my aunt told me, “Invite him in, offer him a drink.” “Ok”, I said. And like he did every day, Clen started to walk by. Well, I was really nervous, so before I went out, I took a drink. And well I kind of forgot to swallow when I asked him if he wanted a drink.
-
Aiko: I opened my mouth to speak to him and it all came out. That’s it, most embarrassing day of my life.
-
-
Gess: Your turn, Rey?
-
Rey: Ok. This also happened not too long ago. I was asked to go to the Pixie’s South Village. As you know they speak a different dialect there. So, wanting to impress them, I tried to brush up on my Waska. Just to give an introductory hi and to thank them for inviting me. Well, you know when you’re nervous and your words don’t come out quite right. Anyways, what I tried to say was, “Thank you for the invitation to speak to you today.” But I think what I said instead was, “I’m happy that your husband is pregnant, and that we will soon be married”. Either way, it wasn’t very well received. I haven’t been invited back since.
